| Alastair is the Hoarse With No Name drummer. He first started playing at the age of fifteen, learning percussion in his local village brass band. His first gig was with The Dave Halloran Band way back in the late Seventies and has since gigged with several outfits; Stallion, Blue’s Band, Badd Debt, Mondo Cane and names of many now long forgotten. For the technical, he plays a Premier Resonator kit with Remo Pinstripe heads and Zildjian cymbals, favouring Pro-Mark nylon tipped 5a sticks; his young son already has his eye on this lot. Alastair first met Ralph in the band Adventure Playground in the mid-Eighties, their set list included a mixture of original material and rock covers. One of their highlights was the slow version of Thin Lizzy's Don't Believe a Word. Now enjoying the chance to simply play because it’s fun, Alastair is famous for playing songs such as Radar Love (Golden Earring) and Are you ready (Thin Lizzy) without even breaking a sweat. Along with Kim, they are the tightest drum and bass section around!! |
